About Isolina

Fueled by the ancient lineage of pre-Columbian and Korean stone carving, Isolina’s ceramic practice questions cultural narratives of antiquity by marrying tradition with manga imagery and lore.

By juxtaposing representations of mythical creatures found in Incan temples alongside the rigidity embodied within Joseon Dynasty stone guardians, Isolina intricately weaves together ancient motifs with her expansive world of characters.
